TCA Chemical Peels
TCA is a non-toxic chemical which has been used to perform skin peels for over 30 years. Unlike some other types of peels, TCA has the additional advantage of creating a fresh natural appearing complexion while preserving the normal skin colour. For this reason, they are often referred to as “freshening peels”. This revolutionary procedure significantly improves skin affected by photo aging, hyper-pigmentation and facial seborrhoea (characterised by red greasy skin). Unlike other chemical peels TCA can also be performed on patients with darker skin types.

TCA Peels are recommended for the treatment of acne, signs of photo damage, rough dull complexions, light wrinkles and age spots. During the procedure a warm sensation is felt on the skin, this may last for a few minutes. Over the next few days the skin will peel, this should not disrupt your normal lifestyle. Post procedure you will be given skin care preparations which you will be required to use. Although one peel can significantly improve the appearance of the skin, some skin problems are deeper than others. It is possible that you may require more than one peel to achieve your desired results.
